Maroon, burgundy, cranberry, plum, violet...the list goes on. These deep red and purple (redple) tones are a must-have for your fall closet. A pair of plum-colored heels can be the perfect touch of sass to a simple outfit. Plus, these redples surprisingly pair well with a ton of colors. Blake Lively takes a risk by wearing turquoise accessories with her purple dress. A risk worth taking, being that she looks stunning (as if it's possible for her not to). As does actress Scarlet Johansen in that beautiful backless, lace number.
The redple colors are also seen in makeup and nail polishes. Cranberry lipstick is one of my favorite winter looks.
It seems that the fall and winter seasons always get the short end of the color stick. Every spring, women set out to find the brightest colors they can to prepare for the darkening of their skin (nothing looks better with a yellow sun dress than a tan). However, when the fall season comes around, we stuff our drawers with black, black, and more black. With fair skin, women are afraid to go brighter (this theory does not apply to those with a dark complexion year-round). Well, put these fears behind you because we have a countless amount of options thanks to the redple colors. The best part is that they actually flatter fair skin! Who knew?! So remember to stay out of the tanning salons this fall because now you know how to work that pale!
