Don't Trade Comfort for Style, You Can Have Both (fall/winter edition)

Ever wake up in the morning feeling like you'd rather chew off your own finger than get out of bed? Whether its a hangover, illness, or you stayed up a little too late watching Chelsea Handler. But you have work, or breakfast with your parents, or a meeting etc, so it's not really an option. You're dying to stay comfy all day, but you NEED to look presentable. Here are a few ways to be comfortably chic.

The Flat Shoe
Put down that ugg! While Ugg makes a great comfort shoe, they are sloppy looking. If you're looking for comfort in a shoe be sure to wear something flat, with no heel. Even that extra inch will bring you discomfort when walking long distances. Also, steer clear of those flats that pinch your front toes (we all own at least one pair).
Loafers are the perfect chic comfort shoe.

These boots are flat and go over the knee. Comfortable and stylish

The Oversized Sweater
If you are trying to be fashionable, please stay away from your college sweatshirt. Instead, find a loose oversized sweater, one that doesn't itch. Pick a sweater that has color so that it draws attention away from your 'lack of effort'. You can pair it with a long necklace.
Simple, comfy, and chic

The Legging
Leggings are possibly the most comfortable bottoms to wear. But this does not give you an excuse to wear your gym clothes out. Instead of those black yoga leggings, try to find a pair of leather, velvet, colored, or patterned leggings to bump up your look.

Velvet, colored legginngs
The Scarf
Scarves were originally invented to keep a person's chest and neck warm; But they just so happen to look incredibly chic while doing that. Throwing on an infinity scarf is the quickest and easiest way to transform your outfit.

Mustard is a great color for a scarf. It goes with almost anything

The Shades
Unfortunately you're going to have to opt out of this one if its rainy, cloudy, or if your event is indoors. But if the sun is out, take out your hottest shades. Did you ever notice that sunglasses just make a woman look  glamourous? They do much more than simply shield our eyes from the sun.
